Artesia

Artesia is the most powerful civilization on Realm but also the youngest. In addition to the commonwealth of former kingdoms whose people now live under one flag, that of High King Arnold, there are three other regions.

Dale

The Dale is a loosely-knit fabric of wood-elf towns and villages. Under the Coalition, Dale became a Duchy. The Emeld family tree was one of the most pro-human family trees in Dale, and its eldest scion, Beileros, became the Duke of Dale when his sister, Balleras, became High Queen of Artesia. Duke Emeld keeps court in Greenleaf, the largest elf town in Dale.

Stanton

The hills and marshes south of Artesia make up the beloved homeland of the halflings. Halfling towns vary from human-like cottage rows to underground hill dwellings to even on the river floating villages. Stanton became a Barony when High King Thad had to grant land titles to prevent the House Bluth from claiming traditional halfling territory. The current Baron of Stanton is Errick Stoutheart, a well-liked jovial halfling who keeps court in Orangethorpe.

Free Cities of Newport

The Free Cities are just that, free. Each city has its own council or mayor, and although they have called upon Artesia to lend aid against pirates and goblin raiders, they do what they can to keep themselves free from Artesian control.
